About

What’s Your Deal?

I owned boutique creative agency The Story of Us for 10 years. After selling that business and moving home from the UK, I went freelance for all of 4 weeks before starting at Gritty Pretty as Art Director. After 2 years in mag land I was wooed to e-comm as Creative Director at Temple & Webster building their new start-up brand.

In a former life (2008-2012) I was a Theatre Director and Artistic Director of an independent Theatre Company — the best possible world in which to cut your managerial teeth. I have 16 years experience in fast paced creative environments and leading teams made up big ideas, big egos and many, complimentary and competing multi-disciplinary skill sets. I’ve working across omni-channel creative projects in publishing, social, e-comm, retail, podcasting, live events, print and internal comms. Over the last decade I have honed my Creative Directing skills in Design, Production and Art Direction across multiple playing fields; advertising, comms, theatre and film, digital content, publishing, fashion & beauty and ecommerce.

I love pitching, public speaking and presenting. I’m a creative who gets creatives and I can speak fluent corporate. The one singular skill that has united my varied professional career is my ability to unite and excite all stakeholders on a singular vision.

  • I have linked my LinkedIn top right, because who reads CVs these days? However, my formal training includes BA Comm. (Media Arts and Production) from UTS and a Grad Dip. (Masters) in Directing from NIDA.

  • As a Creative Director I have worked with many brands, clients and publishers including VISA, Mamamia, Tip Top, B-Corp, Gritty Pretty, Georg Jensen, Versace, Clarins, Google, Apple, Coca Cola and La Mer.

  • I often get asked “what can you actually do” Short answer is ; bring a brief to life across multiple platforms. Long answer is the following list ; Creative / Art Director, Producer, Copywriter, Script Writer, Graphic Designer (digital & print publishing) Video Editor, Director of Talent. I also love a pitch, so wheel me out to corporate any day of the week.

I could bang on about myself forever, but I’ll let these Industry Queens’ Slack comments do it for me.
